her/his bf/gf calls her/his cell and she/he says she/he will call back in 5 minutes.

Oh well, won't you answer your cell phone when it rings?! would you reject your friends or your boyfriend?! I think it is so impolite to reject a friend/bf whether you talk to your friend while your bf calling, or you talk with your bf while a friend calls. So, don't take it hard honey.
The same story takes place when you're talking/walking in a real place with X and then Y calls your mobile phone. Which has more precedence? I think it should be FILO (queue) rather than FIFO (stack)!
Usually, if Y finds out that you didn't care him/her because you were talking/walking with X, he/she becomes angry! People think phone (new one) has higher priority.
And, you know, this scenario sometimes happens about (close enough) friendships. You know.
